Tjestenina sa sjemenkama buče u pestu od tušta

Pasta with pumpkin seeds in pesto

There are many reasons why pesto is very often found on the menu of many households. In addition to the fact that the preparation process is very simple and therefore accessible to everyone, the sauce is extremely tasty and goes well with pasta and many other dishes. If you look at any recipe for pesto, you will certainly find some of these ingredients in it - herbs, nuts (hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds...), grated hard cheese, olive oil and other additives depending on your tastes and preferences.

When making pesto, a blender works best because it is the fastest and best option, and a hand mixer can also help you, or you can simply grind all the ingredients in a mortar.

Tušt is a wild plant that is extremely healthy (be sure to google it, there's no need for me to write everything down for you), it has a sour-bitter taste, which is very good for us, and in combination with other spices, you can create flavors exactly to your liking.

This time we combined pesto with prefin pasta with pumpkin seeds , which we definitely recommend you try. The taste is phenomenal. Maticnjak pasta is without eggs, additives and aromas and is an excellent source of protein, fiber and carbohydrates, which makes your meal complete and nutritionally valuable.

  • approx. three handfuls of thyme (leaves and thinner twigs)
  • 120 ml of olive oil
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 40 g of hard grated cheese + for sprinkling the dish
  • a handful of almonds (you can also use other nuts)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt and pepper (amount to your taste)

STEP 1) Wash the shower well and remove the thicker branches.

STEP 2) Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix until you get the desired consistency. If you see that the mixture is too dry, add olive oil.

STEP 3) Taste the pesto to see if any of the spices are missing. We added a little more salt and lemon juice to ours, but these are small things and vary from individual to individual.

STEP 4) Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. When the pasta is cooked, strain it and serve it with pesto and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Good apetite! :)
