Macerat 03 is an oil preparation in which thyme, rosemary, nettle and hawthorn are immersed in walnut kernel oil, for better circulation in the most natural way.
For six weeks, the plants are immersed in cold-pressed walnut kernel oil, which "binds" to itself, i.e. macerates, their healing properties. The dried parts of these four plants amount to 20% volume share of macerata.
- The fruit of the walnut kernel is identical in shape to the human brain
- Cold-pressed walnut oil has a high biological value thanks to the proportion of unsaturated fatty acids
- omega-3 fatty acids improve brain function and brain microcirculation (1)

What science says
Natural products represent an excellent library of bioactive molecules. Juglans regia, or common walnut, is a very resistant tree that has inhabited our planet for thousands of years. Many studies link the consumption of walnuts with beneficial effects on human health. Experimental and epidemiological studies clearly show that regular consumption of walnut seeds is beneficial for many chronic diseases, such as coronary heart disease, rheumatism, diabetes, obesity and cancer (1). Indeed, walnuts are an excellent source of nutrients and phytochemicals that greatly benefit human health, such as polyphenols, proteins, fibers, sterols, and essential fatty acids (1). Walnuts are the most interesting to us because of their favorable effect on cardiovascular health and circulation, which is researched and evaluated every day (2).
Thyme is a relative of mint and has long been used as an herbal remedy, moreover, thyme has long been known for its antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic effects, along with incredible destruction of microbial biofilms (3). The name thyme comes from the Greek word 'thymos' which means courage or strength. In the first century of our era, thyme was used mainly as a medicinal plant, as mentioned by Dioscorides. In the era of COVID-19, the potential of some thyme ingredients in binding viruses has been investigated. As such, thyme has a wide range of functional possibilities in food, medicine and other fields and is significant as a nutraceutical (3).
Rosemary, according to studies, shows significant antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties (4). Furthermore, it shows important clinical effects on mood, learning, memory, pain, anxiety and sleep (4). Several studies have shown that rosemary can help prevent neurological diseases by maintaining healthy blood flow, which means rosemary could reduce the chances of developing cardiovascular disease(4).

Macerated
Plants and their unique properties can help us with various ailments. It is up to us to use this medicinal plant in the best possible way.
We can pour hot water over it or boil it in it to get the so-called decoction, infusion or simply tea, and we can soak the same herbs in alcohol and get the so-called tinctures. The third way of extracting the active medicinal principles of the "soul" of the plant itself is the production of oil macerates.
