Nigella Junior is a functional honey with black cumin seeds (in addition to black cumin seeds, it also contains flower pollen collected by bees during the dusty season) and hazelnut to make it as tasty as possible for children.

Nigella Junior functional honey contains the most common allergens (ambrosia, hazel and birch, alder, poplar, grass and weed pollen). In practice, treatment with hyposensitization is recommended in cases where there is an allergy to one or a smaller number of allergens, because it is allergens in small doses that hyposensitize the organism (1.). Hyposensitization is the procedure most often recommended for allergies to mites, grass pollen, weeds and trees. It is believed that they teach our body that flower pollen as an allergen is an excellent food and that it no longer needs to react to it so violently and inadequately (1).

Numerous and valuable nutritional properties of the seeds have been proven, and the herbs in the honey are safe, protected from oxidation, last longer and do not lose their beneficial properties. A completely natural product, with a firm texture unlike classic honeys, a simple and quick bite, high nutritional value and with a very specific and measurable effect.

What science says

  • Honey and black cumin have established antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties (1).
  • The anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect of black cumin seeds has been well researched and studied (2).
  • Black cumin protects against allergic reaction and regulates asthma (3,4,5,6,7).

We have already written how pharaoh Tutankhamun took black cumin on his way to eternity, that the good habit of consuming black cumin was taken over by the ancient Greeks and Romans, while the prophet Muhammad, convinced of its power, called it a blessed seed. The use of black cumin for thousands of years was certainly not without reason, which is also confirmed by science today.

Phytotherapy

Honey and medicinal plants in phytotherapy

"Beekeeping is my great passion and the most beautiful job.

Honey always associates us with something healthy, natural and perfect. In principle, there are two types of honey, i.e. honey of animal origin and the so-called polyfloral or floral honeys. These other polyfloral honeys are created by the diligent work of bees who collect nectar from various types of flowers. This is how: chestnut, acacia, linden, sunflower, sage, lavender and other so-called flower honeys.

Their varietal affiliation is always determined on the basis of the pollen grains that predominate in that honey, and no floral honey contains only one type of pollen. Now it is important to emphasize that many flower honeys also contain pollen grains of ragweed and alder, poplar, birch, ash, hazel, various grasses, etc. and finally admit that flower honeys are not good for allergy sufferers.

For this reason, I added a large percentage of Egyptian black cumin seeds to our flower honey Nigella and Nigella junior, because the thymoquinone from this plant expands the bronchi, and the body slowly gets used to the flower powder that irritates it, including that of ragweed.

Thus, this honey becomes functional and by itself has less pollen (which bothers people allergic to the pollen of various weeds , grass, hazel, poplar, birch, ash, and even ragweed). It acts like a gentle natural helper if you take it twice a day over a long period of time."
